Silver Sarasvati

Framed Made from 100% silver, this very old decorative piece of Rajasthani silver is a great example of the beguiling detail that a master silversmith can create. Traditionally worn as a neckpiece. It depicts Sarasvati, an ancient Vedic Goddess, and a river, which flows from the celestial ocean and distributes all the blessings on earth: fertility, wealth, offspring and immortality. She is one of the seven rivers of great sanctity and a prototype of river goddesses in later Hindu tradition. Depicted in later times as very beautiful she is the goddess of learning and music.
