Item 17 Spice Boxes

These solid old wooden tika, or spice boxes are used domestically for storing spices. The top section swings sideways to reveal wells, which hold the various spices. Each one has a ring in the top, allowing it to be hung, if desired. They have the pleasing quality of objects that are beautiful, much used and well cared for.
